Becoming visible when you would rather just work
You would rather let your work speak for itself. That is a decent thought and it only holds if someone can see your work. As long as they cannot, the market picks from the people it does know.
For many skilled people, visibility is not a dislike of attention. It is a dislike of the form they see around it: large promises, polished video, language that is not theirs.
The misunderstanding about being visible
Being visible is not the same as posting a lot. It means someone already looking for you finds you, and within half a minute understands what you do and who for.
That is a lower bar than most people set themselves, and a sharper one at the same time. Not more volume, more clarity.
Start with what you already say
In client conversations you explain things you have never written down anywhere. Those are your best pieces. They are already tested, because you watch in real time what lands.
Track for a week which questions keep returning. Three questions that come up more than once are three subjects you can write about without having to invent what to say.
One place that fits
You do not have to be everywhere. One channel where your people already are, and a page they land on when they want to know more. That is enough to be found.
Spreading across five channels usually means there is too little in five places for anyone to decide anything.
Why the unfinished version works better
Work that has to be perfect first arrives late or never. The alternative is not sloppy work, it is smaller work. A short piece on one question does more than a thorough piece on everything, and it gives you something back: you see whether it lands.
That response is information you never get while you are still polishing.
Where to start this week
Take the question you answered most often this month and write your answer the way you would say it. Do not polish it, publish it.
